Jan Felder serves as our Congregational Nurse, tending to the physical and spiritual health and wholeness needs of our members and many friends.  Jan coordinates the Spiritual Health Team, a group consisting of her, the pastors, and a few other lay people who have special connections or expertise to community resources.  Jan offers blood pressure screenings on Sunday mornings; she helps to keep the pastors aware of members' and friends' health concerns and needs for care; she assists in visitation; and she keeps her eyes on helpful community resources and programs available.  Compassionate caring is a primary spiritual practice for South Mountain Church, and Jan has been a central part of that.
